Geek's Guide webcomic

website: www.geeksguidecomic.com

It's four AM and I can not sleep. What better to do with my time then read through the archive of a brand new webcomic and blog about it.

I believe Geek's Guide is a brand new one to the web. I cannot provide a lot of detail since the website is pretty bare for info about who draws the comic and other misc facts about the comic. Geek's Guide is a quick time waster. There are currently 23 comics in the archive. Basically, this comic is about random things in a geek's life presented in a humorous fashion. Perhaps, not the easiest comic to write a long informative review about but definitely worth heading over to geeksguidecomic.com for a smile.

String Theory

 String Theory
By: Beckey Grundy
String Theory Webcomic

Updates: Wednesdays and Saturdays

String Theory is a webcomic devoted to the world of Dr. Herville Albert Schtein, super genius, and his new lab assistant Delia Osgood. Though Dr. Schtein is incredibly science smart his way with people leaves much to be desired. The first chapter is about Dr. Schtein and his social issues regarding his newly hired assistant and his competition, Professor Langstrom.

Beckey has an amazing knack for capturing moods of the panels through facial expression. I really fell in love with her art style as soon as I laid eyes on the cover for chapter 1. She doesn't bog down the reader with excessive background details in the beginning. Much like the characters, as the plot becomes more detailed so too do the complexities of the character's design.

I won't spoil the plot too much for you, so I'll stop with the details here. I hope you like this one, I know this one will be going in my RSS feed.

In the beginning...

There must be a beginning for every end. In the past, I have attempted to inform those around me about webcomics, through podcasts, reviews on forums, twitter, facebook, etc. Instead of linking everyone all the time, I'm giving my audience the choice to read my blog of webcomic reviews. Hopefully someone out there finds this blog as rewarding as I hope it to be. Perhaps in the future there will be a review schedule but for now this is for me. A tribute to the medium I love to read, and a way for me to branch out and read webcomics I've yet to enjoy. So, into the rabbit hole we go!
